![]() Still the main issue with the performance drop remains. I've had huge tracking issues (stuck light saber for more than 5 seconds with only rotation) with natural and artificial lights! Only darkening the whole room and using IR-Lights actually made the tracking issues better (though didn't fix them completely) I've had issues with sound: Ocassional loud short noises and for a short period only sound from the right side I've had freezes of the headset, where the headset would turn off (orange light) and had to restart the oculus app I had unplayable stutter if I had beat saber in the foreground on my monitor I had to put something else in the foreground (for example windows explorer) for it to not stutter (again wtf?) [I've just uninstalled Bullguard and that might've been the reason for this maybe? At least it seems better for now, will have to watch further) Starting beat saber out of the headset freezes everything for a few seconds until the game starts (Hasn't happened yet after fresh install) I've had ocassional static flashes (less than a second long, but regularily, will have to watch for it after the reinstall, hasn't happend again yet) After closing the oculus app and starting it again I got only black screen and sound in the headset (reinstalls seem to have fixed that for now) While there were some fps dips, the performance fluctuation I'm noticing still happened when the tool showed constant 90 fps. I clean installed everything again today (Oculus app, Steam, Beat saber w/o mods) but still get the inconsistency (and it's more of the bad and less often the smooth and good).īit more details: I've also had the oculus performance profiler run during play a few times. Now since I had it running without issues for an hour or 2 yesterday, I know it should be possible right? I'm just not sure what else I can do at this points. It could happen during a song that ran incredibly smooth and then everything looked less 'clean', the blocks seemed slightly more pixelated and the most noticeable change: the vibration! every time it changed toward the worse, the vibration got stronger on hits, while the vibration is less strong when it runs smoothly (wtf?). just to have the issues back, just not as before permanently, but changing from good to 'bad' and back. I had hope that the usb-port was actually the issue and was looking forward to today. ![]() I thought the cable was too short for the front usb-port and had pretty much given up and started the return process for the headset until yesterday I tried the front and saw that the cable was (though barely) long enough for the front usb-port and the change was incredible, for the whole day yesterday beat saber ran so incredibly smooth. I had tried all usb-ports at the back and had no change in the performance. My main issues is inconsistent performance, which was pretty much dominant until yesterday. I've pretty much lowered everything to minimum (no AA, 1.0x resolution scaling) Now I've tried pretty much everything recommended in other threads (the big ones included, clean installing everything, usb port energy management, Oculus beta and what not. Should be plenty to run beat saber I thought. Mainboard: MSI B450M PRO-VDH Plus, AMD B450 I've only played (and right now am only interested in) Beat Saber. I've had the Rift S for about 3 weeks and I think I've spent more time trying to get it to work properly than playing.
