When out shopping, Rose and Mickey are attacked by Santa robots the Doctor theorises that energy from his regeneration has lured them here. While she brought these joyful traits to every episode she took part in, it would have been fantastic to see her take on a Christmas-themed story. ![]() Frankly, it's a shame that Jodie Whittaker never got to play the Doctor during a Christmas Special, since Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor is perhaps one of the most Christmassy Doctors ever, not least for the fact that her incarnation was actually born on Christmas Day at the end of "Twice Upon a Time." Whittaker's characterization as the Doctor was always upbeat, playful, and family-oriented, qualities that epitomize Christmas.
